Tell me which legal document your bank has asked for.
When a bank asks for a translated legal document, I explain what to tell me first and why the bank’s own instructions set the scope of the translation.

Which bank and which application
Tell me which bank has asked for a translation and what the application is for. Describe the document and the bank’s instructions in your first message.
I use that to work out what needs translating, and then we agree how you will share the files.
Documents I translate
I translate corporate documents, including a memorandum of association, as well as powers of attorney and contracts.
I also translate financial documents and financial statements. The bank decides which documents it needs for your application.
Current bank instructions
Ask the bank whether it needs a translation for your application, and whether it needs the whole document or only part of it. I quote the scope on the instructions you pass on to me.
If those instructions change later, I review the change and quote it separately.
Names and identifiers
I check names and identifying details against the source, including account references when they appear in the document. If you have noticed a difference between records, mention it when you first describe the job so I can check the wording.
The translation follows what the source records.
The bank decides
Whether to accept a translation is the bank’s decision. I quote after reviewing the full document, and work starts once you accept the scope and price for an agreed delivery date. Every job needs at least two business days.
If the request concerns your company, my page on translation for companies explains how I work with businesses. You can also check my MOJ registration.

Tell me what you need translated.
Start with a description of the document and whether you need Arabic or English. It helps to know the approximate length, who will receive it and your deadline. Please don't send sensitive personal or case files in your first message.
Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm UAE time. At least two business days. I agree the actual delivery date before I start.
